7. Use smart scripts

Help the user by parsing numbers (or whatever) for them, so that it doesn't really matter if they type:

• (512) 555-2000, or
• 512.555.2000, or
• 512 555 2000, or
• 512-555-2000 or
• 5125552000

They all should work!
